I wanted to give you an update on my practicum experience at Kang & Company. The last two weeks have been full of new learning experiences and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
Throughout the last two weeks, I sat in on multiple initial consultations and strategy sessions regarding Immigration and Family law matters with Narindar S. Kang Q.C., Ajeet K. Kang Q.C., Jas S. Mattoo, and Karen Lally.
During my first week I was able to attend court with Jas Mattoo on a Family Law matter. I spent the morning listening to various different court proceedings at the New Westminster Supreme Court. This was very interesting since I was able to appreciate the importance of preparing thorough submissions.
I also spent some time doing research on Family law matters, particularly focusing on division of family property and child custody.
I am thankful and appreciative of the opportunity to learn from such a distinguished group of individuals. It is very clear that this firm takes pride in developing ongoing relationships with its clients and professional network. This is a lesson I hope to apply in my future practice.
